He finished 21st on the Nationwide Tour’s money list in 2005, which made Bubba the last player qualified for the PGA Tour in the following year. In 2006 as a rookie, he received a sum of $1,019, came 90th overall and therefore led the PGA Tour in driving distance at 319.6 yards. Bubba’s longest drive in his proffessional history was 424 yards at the PGA Tour.
In 2007 US Open held on 14th to 17th June in Pittsburgh, he played well and became one of the finalists after shooting rounds of 70-71 (+1). Watson was so close to winning then he accidentally slipped shooting 74 (+4) in both the third and fourth rounds; he finished in a tie for fifth.
