Ellis Brooklyn Super Amber Review

Harry Styles has dedicated a music video to touching. I fill the void of human contact over the past year and a half by wearing fragrance that smells like the perfect hug, which have been few and far between.

The ideal hug has just the right amount of pressure that you're ok if it lingers, which is exactly how I'd describe Ellis Brooklyn's Super Amber Eau de Parfum. The notes of amber, up-cycled Virginia cedarwood, vanilla orchid, and biodegradable musk open up to a warm scent that lasts through the day and subtly sticks around into night.

Not a fan of most powdery or sweet scents, I typically wear spicy fragrances year-round. Super Amber does have a slight vanilla undertone, but it fuels warm and fuzzy nostalgic feelings of being close to all of my favorite people without being overpowering. It's comforting, like my favorite wool blanket has been on these late summer/early fall nights that are cool, but not cool enough to have the heat on.

While hugs may be free, a bottle of Super Amber will set you back $105. But feeling warm and cozy on breezy fall days (mostly) still spent alone? Priceless.

Good to Go used to be the column where we'd share the beauty products we can't travel without. But while travel's off the table, we'll be focusing on products that make us feel good in quarantine. This month, why I'm obsessed with Ellis Brooklyn Super Amber Eau de Parfum.
