Lancaster County 18-year-old drowns in SC lake WSOC TV
KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. — A Lancaster County teen drowned Wednesday while swimming in a South Carolina lake.
According to our partners at the Rock Hill Herald, Gabriel Clyburn was swimming with friends in Lake Wateree in Kershaw County when he went under and didn’t come back up.
Officials said he had just graduated from Andrew Jackson High School and was planning to attend Coastal Carolina University this fall.
The Herald reports Clyburn was the second person to drown in Lake Wateree this month.
