Watch Dr. Pimple Popper Extract a Super-Satisfying, Huge Dilated Pore of Winer
- In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper pulls out a “humungous” blackhead that is hard as a rock.
- A blackhead of this size is commonly called a dilated pore of Winer, which is essentially a large blackhead compacted in a single enlarged pore.
- Dr. Lee tells fans the crater-like hole left behind by the removal will close on it's own to the size of a regular pore.
This may just be Dr. Lee’s most satisfying pop of all time. In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper—aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD—pulls out a certifiably huge blackhead that will certainly shock you. And this thing is hard as a rock.
In the clip, Dr. Lee first loosens the blackhead’s hardened material, then gives the area a good squeeze. The compacted contents won’t budge with just a simple push, so Dr. Lee grabs a pair of surgical tweezers to grab the petrified gunk and wiggle it free. The famed derm has seen a lot, and even she says this thing is "humungous" by her standards.
"It's like a rock!" Dr. Lee exclaims when the stuck stone-like mass is finally freed. "Wow! That is a blackhead! You might have the award for biggest blackheads.”
A blackhead of this size is commonly called a dilated pore of Winer. A dilated pore of Winer is essentially a large blackhead compacted in a single enlarged pore. This means the large crater left behind by this extraction is actually a single pore that has been stretched from the contents gathering inside. But don’t worry, the patient won’t be left with a gaping hole forever.
“The area will shrink down on its own, which I let this one do,” Dr. Lee writes in the comments of the post. “I gave the patient the option to come back and have the extra skin removed, and then stitch up the area.”
